  • Location: Wallingford, Seattle
  • Project Type: Public Park Renovations

Harrison Design is collaborating with Patano Studio Architecture redesigning the east entry connection to multiple enhanced park’s facilities including a new comfort station, open plaza space, accessible picnic area, and existing play barn. Gas Works Park, as the most iconic post-industrial landscape, is a unique landmark that is well-used by both local neighbors and visiting tourists. Understanding the complex and significant background of the park, Harrison Design works closely with the team to present a moderate and deliberate solution to enhance site accessibility and visual permeability that still pertain the same design language and site planning as the 1975’s master plan. The new comfort station, designed by Patano Studio Architecture, will adapt to City’s new policy as one of the first gender neutral restroom on public park.
